I have been working as a qualified Clinical Psychologist for almost 20 years. I worked in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for 15 years. During this time I provided specialist assessment and therapeutic intervention for a wide range of complex mental health and developmental presentations to children, young people and their families. I have worked exclusively in private practice since 2021. I work with children, teens and adult clients.

I have over 30 years clinical and supervision experience working in NHS Adult Mental Health Services in England and Northern Ireland. For over 20 years I served as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Team Leader in the South Eastern Trust area. For six of those years, I was the Assistant Head of Psychology & Psychological Therapy Services for the Trust. I retired from the NHS in 2024. I commenced private practice in 2025 and work with adult clients.

What are we like to work with?

With decades of NHS experience, we bring commitment, encouragement, and respect for those we work with.

We take a structured, thorough approach, asking thoughtful questions to help you make sense of your difficulties. We aim to simplify the complex, often using a whiteboard or written notes to aid understanding. We communicate clearly and directly, offering respectful challenge when needed.

Therapy is a partnership built on honesty and openness, which we will encourage. We will regularly ask for your feedback on our work and offer ours in return.

While the work we do is important, we also believe in the value of light-hearted, good-natured humour along the way.
